Plug into the Inner Net
What if John Lennon was right?
IMAGINE
What if everyone healed? What if every single soul knew with the certainty of death, taxes, and gravity that they were worthy of love? What if we all took more time to connect on the “inner” net?
BELIEVE
I believe there are many pathways to the divine. Call it the universe, the creator, God, or Goddess, to me, the label is not important. I believe a higher power exists, and when we plug in to that source, it is all about love, love, love, love, and more love.
This morning, I listened to the weekly lecture by Nancy Rebecca of Intuitive Mind. She’s from Tacoma, and I’ve been taking classes from her since she had a storefront on Bridgeport Way in University Place. Today, she really got me thinking about forgiveness and love for ourselves. We can’t control what other people are choosing. We can only choose how we show up.
You, wise reader, of course, already know that. Me too.
But, oh my…I am so good at crafting the “other” story. Just ask me! I have mountains of evidence of how that person is guilty of x, y, or z. They said this. They did that. They are in the wrong, clearly. Let me convince you how much they are the A-hole! And, maybe they are. Maybe, as my college roommate accused me, I am ‘virtue-signaling’ by not accepting that some people are just jerks. Maybe I need a reality check.
Except, I can’t help it. I can’t help wondering, what if we all healed? What if we all did the inner work? No shame, deep resentment, stuck energy, old stories, or festering childhood trauma. What might that society look like? Imagine! Maybe John Lennon wasn’t just a dreamer.
Maybe that’s why we love the movies so much. Show me the healing through running, song, football, racing horses, or going home to mourn a loved one. Show me that character who breaks free from the bondage and chooses to heal. Show us what’s possible. Show us the way.
DISCOVER
What might you discover if you healed? How do you connect with your inner self? What possibilities exist for your hero’s journey?
We are all worthy of love. We are all capable of letting the light in. We all deserve to forgive ourselves. Let’s all give ourselves the gift of knowing:
You are loved. You are worthy. You are forgiven. You are enough.
Want to make the world a better place? Go on, spend some time on that inner-net. Let the love in.
Xoxo
